Affray outside The John Gregory pub in Weymouth

Officers investigating an alleged affray in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at around 6.45pm on Tuesday 23 May 2023 of a disturbance involving a man outside The John Gregory pub in Radipole Lane.

It is reported that the man shouted threats toward members of the public.

Officers attended and a 40-year-old man from Weymouth was arrested on suspicion of affray. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue. 

Police Constable Harry Chaplin, of Weymouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened to please get in touch.

“If you were travelling in the area and have a dashcam fitted to your vehicle, please check your footage for anything that may assist our investigation.”
