Ahead of Weymouth Town Council’s annual firework display on Tuesday 5th November, here’s all the details you need to know to help plan your night in advance.

Key timings:

From 4pm – there will be a funfair on the Pavilion Forecourt.

From 5pm – food, drink and other traders will be set up along the promenade. For a full list of traders, visit the Town Council website.

At 7.40pm – gather round for the lighting of the beach bonfire.

At 8pm – it’s the fantastic firework display over the bay. The fireworks will be fired from a vessel out in the bay and will be visible from various points along the seafront. Follow Weymouth Town Council on Facebook to view the display on livestream.

Staff from Weymouth Town Council will also provide orange sparkler buckets to dispose of any used sparklers on the night. These will be located at the various entrance and exit points of the beach from the Pavilion end to Bond Street.

Getting to and from the event:

Please note: A temporary road closure will be in place on King Street between its junctions with Crescent Street and Queen Street, by the train station. Wessex Water have put advance closure signs in place advising of works taking place between November 4th and November 8th when the road will be closed to through traffic to allow emergency repairs to a collapsed sewer to be carried out. Pedestrian access will not be affected by the works, the footway will still be accessible. Download the road closure notice below for full details:
