The American media can match our gutter press and then some when it suits. Reality has become a luxury as many people diet on lies. This is especially the case in social media world where clicking like and share reflects the engagement time before scrolling on. Many now openly admit that they LIKE without reading what exactly they have LIKED.

With this in mind the corporate media in particular are able to manipulate millions merely with a headline or an image or a meme and know that opinions are no longer formed by a political diet of eating but smelling from miles away.

This is especially the case near to an election or a referendum when ‘knowing’ becomes a luxury for a very small number and ‘unknowing’ becomes the fashion. In the US we have two candidates and two factions that feast on ‘unknowing’ dressed in an enlightenment blouse. Tens of millions are falling for it again.

Even celebrity endorsements are an illusion to be shared as if true.

Take a look at these and then play spot the difference:

Brad Pitt SHOCKS AMERICA: “I’m Tired Of Liberals Taking My Money. I’m Voting For TRUMP!”

And then this:

Denzel Washington SHOCKS Hollywood: “I’m Voting For TRUMP!”

I won’t spoil the fun but remember they are two different media outlets and unless you have the time to do a bit of research you are potentially ripe for a con.

The lesson: Don’t believe anything until you have checked it out for yourself or the source is one you are prepared to trust without looking foolish.
