Baked bean recall across multiple outlets due to rubber balls find

Rubber balls, approximately 2.5cm wide, were discovered in cans of baked beans sold by Asda, Sainsbury’s, and Tesco, leading to a recall notice by Princes Group, the food producers.

Consumers are strongly advised against consuming the affected products due to the choking hazard posed by these balls. The recall covers baked beans, baked beans with sausages, and bean salad.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a warning to individuals who have purchased these products, urging them not to consume them. Instead, the FSA recommends returning the items to the store where they were bought for a complete refund.

The affected products and their corresponding details are as follows:

  • Asda Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce – 200g Best before November 2025, batch code 3313 and 3314
  • Asda Mixed Bean Salad – 400g Best before October 2027, batch code 3293 and 3303
  • Branston Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce – 4 x 410g Plastic Wrapped Best before December 2025, batch code 3338
  • Sainsbury’s Baked Beans & Pork Sausages in Tomato Sauce – 400g Best before November 2025, batch code 3312
  • Tesco Mixed Bean Salad in Vinaigrette – 400g Best before October 2025, batch code 3299
  • Tesco Baked Beans & Pork Sausages in Tomato Sauce – 395g Best before November 2025, batch code 3312

This recall specifically pertains to products bearing the listed best before dates and batch codes. Receipts are not required for obtaining a refund.
