This article paints a poor attitude of our council. I am one of the many musicians who have lost our fee for performing last week at the Bayside Festival. I am more disapopinted that the festival has closed than losing my fee. Its not about “desparation for music” so Ian Bruce’s comment is rather distasteful, and being the council’s toursim officer too!! Music is the foundation of Weymouth a bigger part of Weymouth than the sailing is! It’s why I and many other people (whether performers or avid supporters) live here.
I am angered by this attitude!
