Body found in search for missing man who went missing from Haven in Weymouth

Following on from an investigation on Saturday

officers searching for a man who went missing in Weymouth are issuing an update that a body has sadly been found.

Robert Hillier, aged 47 and also known as Jamie, was reported missing from the Haven holiday park in Preston Road at 8.43pm on Saturday 19 June 2021.

At 4.30pm on Monday 21 June 2021 police received a report that the body of a man had been found in the garden of a residential property in the area of Preston Road.

Although formal identification has yet to take place, it is believed to be that of Robert. His next of kin have been updated of this sad development and are being supported by officers. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
 

The death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been made aware.
