With the Easter school holidays upon us and the temperatures set to rise in time for the Easter Bank Holiday, there’s never been a better time to explore all that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole has to offer! Whether you’re a resident who is looking for Easter activities to keep your children entertained, or from further afield looking to book a last-minute break to a stunning coastal destination, then the BCP area has plenty to welcome you and keep you entertained over the coming weeks. Book your short break and explore the award-winning coastline with its 15 miles of golden sand and 26 miles of harbour-side landscape. Try the tempting treats on offer at the restaurants, cafés and bars along the promenade, and Beyond the Beach, discover a whole host of museums, galleries, open spaces, heritage trails, local shops and quays, with plenty to offer everyone. With hotels being booked up fast, try alternative accommodation such as a quaint guest house for that personal touch, or pack up all your outdoor gear and try camping under the stars, waking to beautiful, fresh views. Councillor Mohan Iyengar, Portfolio Holder for Tourism and Active Health commented:
“We’re looking forward to welcoming residents and visitors to our beautiful area once again and with the weather heating up over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, we’re asking everyone to come and enjoy our area but to also respect our area as well, which includes picking up after yourself and parking responsibly.  “As with last year, we’ve invested in a response-plan together with the police and other organisations to keep people safe and our towns orderly when things become busy. The Multi-Agency Command Centre (MACC) is back in use and we’re looking forward to a great summer ahead for all!”

Across the area’s parks there are a whole host of Easter activities taking place including scavenger hunts, hedgehog highways and bee bomb making in association with the Parks Foundation, Easter trails at Kingfisher Barn in Bournemouth, and even donkey rides at Upton Country Park in Poole! Further afield, get your walking boots on and go hiking along the protected heathland paths, taking in the abundance of wildlife surrounding you.

The Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area is one where town meets village and countryside meets coast, so come and visit and enjoy everything that is on offer this Eastertime!
