Boris Johnson’s claims that the UK was on a steep learning curve and that they made ‘mistakes’ because of a lack of knowledge about the virus have been blown apart on social media.

From laypeople to those with expert knowledge the Prime Minister has been shown to be yet again way out of his depth.

It starts here with his interview with BBC News (you know who) who not only accompanied him on his ride but held his hand too.

Eighty seconds of absolute nonsense. He believes that most of the country simply do not take any notice of what is really going on. To some extent he is probably right.

Luckily for democracy (or whatever deformed mutated version we have in the UK) there are those whose consciousnesses are switched on using their minds for something other than a dog poo bag.

Let us start with Dr Jennifer Cassidy

How can one expect to understand if they do not do their homework properly? When confronted with a deadly virus isn’t that the time that a Prime Minister works on all cylinders from the earliest possible point? Not Boris Johnson.

Then we can look to other countries responses.

And of course it is not just Boris Johnson. There are many Tories who are simply not up to it either.

Why did the UK prime minister not follow the lead of many others? Why did he not have a global view and not the parochial one he chose? Because it is Boris Johnson? Or is there something more sinister?

Cheltenham anyone? Herd immunity?

If one wants the reality one doesn’t ask Laura.

For many the Boris Johnson spin is a cover for something that the public must never know about. Certainly not enough of them to make a difference.

It must also be made clear that being sinister is not necessarily discrete from being incompetent.

And of course we have to take a more holistic view of Boris Johnson. His supporters also support this and it is not a good look on any moralistic level

The issue here is that it is not just a few issues that need to be highlighted. It is a large number of legal and moral decisions that reflects very badly not only on the country as a whole but those who chose to vote for them. It is not only the government who are toxic but their cheerleaders too.

Let’s leave the last ‘words’ to Boris Johnson himself in which he convinces the Oedipus’ amongst us but few others.
