Protestors are being asked to ‘wear something green’ as they gather at 1pm at Kino Lounge in Bournemouth Square to begin a march that has the intention of supporting a global agreement on tackling climate change, ahead of next Tuesdays UN Climate Change Summit in New York.
UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon has said that he is focussed on ‘achieving a global agreement on climate change.’
Helen Woodall, South East Dorset Green Party secretary has said that,’ it is important to turn up to show world leaders that there is support for such an important issue will affect all of us.’
It is expected that the march will last for up to two hours and protesters are being asked to sign a petition that will be delivered as part of the ‘100% Clean energy’ campaign.
