Bournemouth girl represents Dorset in regional pageant

Maria Parker – Harris is set to represent Dorset at the Miss Inspiration South-West Pageant.

Bournemouth, Dorset, November 13th, 2014: Local fundraiser and blogger – Maria Parker-Harris will be representing Dorset at the Miss Inspiration South West Pageant on Saturday 15th November 2014 in Weston Super Mare. The pageant features representatives from all counties in the South-West region and finalists were selected from hundreds of entries. The pageant champions inspirational women that have contributed to their local communities regardless of shape and size. Miss Inspiration South-West will be crowned at the event and will go on the compete in the grand final next March.

Maria is completing in the Miss Inspiration South-West  Pageant as one of her thirty challenges before thirty in order to raise money for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice. With three rounds, finalists will have to compete an interview, fundraising activities and a number of appearances that benefit their local community. In the last three weeks, Inspirational Woman in Business Award Semi- Finalist – Maria has attended fifteen local events and looks forward to supporting more local causes after the pageant.

Maria Parker-Harris said,

“I am so honoured to be representing Dorset in this prestigious contest, which celebrates women that have significantly contributed to their local community. I love working hard to raise money for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice and hope that this event will raise the profile of this incredibly worthwhile charity”.
