Organisers of the Tourism Awards 2015, celebrating the resort’s best services and attractions, have released tickets for this year’s ceremony, to be held at Bournemouth Pavilion on Friday 27th February – with Heart DJ, Rich Clarke, announced as host for the evening.

The awards have been running for the past eight years and recognise hotels, holiday parks, restaurants, night-time venues, visitor attractions and local businesses that contribute to Bournemouth’s status as the UK’s Best Coastal Resort, as voted in the British Travel Awards 2014.

The Bournemouth awards feature 11 categories, including various hotel and dining experiences, as well as Great Night Out and the Unsung Hero Award. With entries having now closed, judging has commenced and winners will be announced at the formal dinner and ceremony in February which is being compèred by Heart South Coast Breakfast presenter, Rich Clarke.

Tourism Portfolio Holder, Councillor Lawrence Williams, said: “It’s always a pleasure to hear about any business or individual that puts something back into the town and these awards provide the perfect opportunity to congratulate formally those who have employed their hard work and enthusiasm for the benefit of Bournemouth’s tourism industry.”

Tickets are on sale now and anyone wanting to book should complete and return the form found online at https://www.bournemouth.co.uk/tourism-awards-2015.

Chair of the Bournemouth Accommodation and Hotel Association (BAHA), Paul Clarke, said: “These awards are a chance for us to say thank you to all of those businesses and individuals that help to make Bournemouth the cosmopolitan, lively and welcoming resort that residents and visitors know it to be. If you’ve applied or nominated someone, get your tickets now and join us to celebrate Bournemouth and all those who give the town its trademark colour, warmth and diversity.”
