Boy in hospital following road traffic collision in Shaftesbury

Officers investigating a collision in Shaftesbury are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

At approximately 7am on Monday 27 February 2023 a collision occurred on the A350 Grosvenor Road involving a Nissan panel van and a cyclist.

The cyclist – a 14-year-old local boy – was taken to hospital for treatment by the ambulance service. His injuries are not believed to be serious.

Police Constable Neil Hawkes, of North Dorset police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or the moments leading up to it, to please get in touch.

“Also, I am keen to hear from any motorists who captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
