Emergency services are battling a major fire near Weymouth’s seafront this afternoon, with thick black smoke visible for miles across the town.
Fire crews, police and other emergency responders are currently at the scene on Preston Beach Road, near Lodmoor, following reports of a significant blaze.
The fire is believed to be affecting the area around The Front Skatepark and the Weymouth Sea Life Centre, although the full extent of the incident has yet to be confirmed.
