Officers investigating a burglary and attempted burglary in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward.
At around 10pm on Friday 1 October 2021 a burglary occurred at an address in Livingstone Road where a set of keys and a car were stolen.
In the early hours of Saturday 2 October 2021 it was reported that three people attempted to gain entry to the property, but this was unsuccessful as they were disturbed by the occupant.
The stolen car was located on Monday 4 October 2021 and recovered in Kelly Close.
A further incident was reported to have occurred at around 10.10pm on Friday 1 October 2021 in Ebor Road. It was reported that an attempt was made to enter a property, but they were disturbed by a resident. Nothing was stolen and no damage was caused.
The victim reported seeing a vehicle – which matches the description of the one stolen in the Livingstone Road incident – in the area at the time.
Police Constable Liam Moss, of Dorset Police’s Priority Crime Team, said: “An investigation is underway into both of these incidents and officers have been carrying out enquiries in the area, including house-to-house visits.
“I would urge anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the incidents to please contact Dorset Police.
“I am particularly keen to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on either home CCTV systems or dashcams.”
