CCTV appeal after theft of bags and fraudulent use of bank card

Officers investigating a theft of bags and the fraudulent use of a bank card in Bournemouth are issuing a CCTV image of a suspect.

Between 8.55am and 9.20am on Tuesday 1 June 2021 two women had their bags stolen while they were using the facilities at the Elstead Hotel on Knyveton Road.

The bags contained clothes, keys, a phone and wallets containing bank cards.

It is reported that one of the bank cards was subsequently used in a number of shops in Christchurch Road.

Police Community Support Investigator Paul Bosley, of Dorset Police, said: “Following enquiries into this incident, I am now in a position to issue a CCTV image of a suspect.

“I am appealing for anyone who recognises the man pictured to please contact us.”
