Detectives are issuing CCTV images of three suspects they wish to identify following an assault in Christchurch.

The incident occurred at around 4am on Sunday 19 August 2018 outside Cameron’s Club and Lounge on Bargates involving three male offenders and began when one of the victims approached the men to ask to borrow a lighter.

A disturbance then took place. One victim – a 23-year-old man from Dunstable – was struck on the side of the head before he was punched and kicked. During the assault, the victim fell to the ground where the offenders continued to kick and punch him. He was helped back to his feet by his girlfriend and the offenders ran away.

The victim sustained a suspected broken jaw and broken nose.

His girlfriend – aged 23 – sustained minor injuries and a third man, aged 23 and from Luton in Bedfordshire, who was with the couple was punched in the face and was momentarily knocked unconscious.

Detective Constable Nicky Sharpe, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This was a nasty assault which left three people injured, one with potentially serious injuries.

“As part of my investigation I am releasing CCTV images of the suspects and I would urge anyone who recognises them to please contact Dorset Police.”
