Officers investigating a racially aggravated public order offence in Christchurch are issuing a CCTV image of the suspect.
At 3.30pm on Tuesday 29 September 2020 an elderly man knocked loudly on the glass doors of the civic offices on Bridge Street to attract the attention of a male member of staff. The doors are currently locked due to COVID-19 and the council is operating an appointment only system.
The member of staff challenged the suspect as to why he was banging so loudly and advised him of the appointment system.
The suspect then racially abused the victim before he was handed a leaflet and left.
Police Constable Mark Mills, of Christchurch police, said: “The victim was left shaken and upset by this incident and we are very keen to identify this man so we can complete our investigations.
“I would ask anyone who recognises him, especially from the clothing he is wearing, to please contact Dorset Police.”
