CCTV appeal following theft and fraud in North Dorset

Officers investigating the theft and fraudulent use of a bank card in North Dorset are issuing CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

The victim’s bank card was reportedly stolen from their vehicle in Christy’s Lane in Shaftesbury between 9.30pm on Sunday 1 November 2020 and 12.30am on Monday 2 November 2020.

The card was used at around 12.30am to carry out two transactions at the Esso petrol station at Ivy Cross, with a total value of £50.89.

Police Community Support Investigator Kate Hann, of Dorset Police, said: “We have been making enquiries into this matter and have obtained CCTV images of a man who is believed to have used the stolen bank card.

“I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please contact us.”
