Officers investigating an incident where two people were assaulted outside a pub in Wimborne are renewing their appeal and issuing CCTV footage of three men they would like to speak to.

The victims, two men aged in their 20s, were waiting outside The Man in the Wall pub at around 11.55pm on Friday 14 August 2020 when they were involved in an altercation with another group of young men. One of the victims was punched to the face, causing him to fall backwards and hit his head.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to head and facial injuries.

The other victim was punched to the shoulder.

Police Constable Erin Hill, of East Dorset police, said: “Our investigation into these assaults remains ongoing.

“We have previously issued still CCTV images of three men we would like to speak to as part of our investigation, but these were not of the best quality and we have been unable to identify them.

“We owe it to our victims to explore every line of enquiry available to us and I am now releasing moving CCTV footage showing the men we are keen to speak to as it appears to be clearer than the still images.

“I would again urge anyone with information as to their identity to please come forward.”
