We Are Weymouth is the tourist information website set up by Weymouth Business Improvement District (BID). Weymouth BID Chairman Steve Newstead, said of this news “it’s fantastic to see that unique events which take place in the town are being recognised as some of the best in the country.” He went on to say “The Chase the Pudding event is full of laughter and really gets locals and visitors in the Christmas spirit. The site of hundreds of Santas racing along Weymouth’s sands chasing a Christmas pudding is hilarious. Best of all though is that it helps raise money for a great local charity- The Will Mackaness Trust “.
In February 2017 Weymouth Beach was voted as Number one in the Top 10 Best Beaches in UK list by Trip Advisor https://www.weareweymouth.co.uk/blog/weymouth-named-best-beach-in-uk/ and now Weymouth has been recognised as a Winter destination for great events and a place to visit in December.
