There is a whole weekend of festive fun this December at the Chesil Beach Christmas Bazaar. Dorset Wildlife Trust’s three-day extravaganza at the Fine Foundation Chesil Beach Centre will be a chance to shop for original gifts, sample Christmas fayre and get into the Christmas spirit with all the family.
The Centre, with a stunning location on the edge of the Fleet lagoon,is run by Dorset Wildlife Trust on behalf of a partnership including Weymouth and Portland Borough Council, the Jurassic Coast Team, the Chesil Bank and the Fleet Nature Reserve, with the continued help of local volunteers. The Christmas Bazaar will showcase local arts and crafts as well as a range of wildlife gifts including DWT’s exclusive Christmas cards and calendars. There will be activities for children including making a wild Christmas decoration, as well as a chance to try the new marine play boat, with‘skate’ ramp, eel balance board and other fishy features. The Chesil Beach Cafe, run by Masterchef winner Mat Follas, will be serving delicious lunches, snacks and drinks and, of course, mince pies and mulled cider.

The Chesil Beach Centre is a great place to watch wildlife – the winter birds are feeding near the Centre and our underwater camera gives a glimpse into the fascinating world under the sea. So make Christmas shopping this year a wild experience!”
