Christchurch man due in court for drink driving

A man is due to appear in court in connection with a road traffic collision in Christchurch.

Dorset Police received a report at 6.43pm on Sunday 15 May 2022 of a single vehicle collision involving a white Audi R8 on the Christchurch bypass.

It was reported that the vehicle had left the road and was in a ditch.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not life-threatening or life-changing.

Following enquiries, a 56-year-old man from Christchurch has been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 28 September 2022 for an offence of driving a motor vehicle when his alcohol level was above the limit.
