Christmas Eve Assault Leads To Grievous Bodily Harm Arrest

At around 5.10pm on Sunday 24 December 2017 Dorset Police was called to reports of a disturbance in King Street.

Officers attended and found two injured men outside the Eats and Drinks store. They were both taken to hospital for treatment to facial injuries. They have since been released from hospital.

It was reported that the two victims had been assaulted by two other men.

A 30-year-old Weymouth man has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released under investigation.

Detective Sergeant Dave Horn, of Weymouth CID, said: “I would still like to hear from anyone who has any information which may assist my investigation and has not yet spoken to Dorset Police.”
