I am all for freedom of speech. Well let me be more specific. I am all for informed freedom of speech. Speech that can be backed up empirically. Speech that is not driven by bigotry and ignorance. Speech that derives from an open minded interaction with investigation and facts.
The following is none of these things. The following is a person who reads the Daily Mail and Express as if they are the gospels and then creates his own pulpit moment and spews it out on to those around him. The following is people in a church then clapping this bigotry and ignoring every syllable of the New Testament. Sadly my experience of many church gooers is this. Whatever their faith their day to day lives are all sitting astride the four horseman of the apocalypse.
Many on twitter are referring to the direct comparison with how the nazis operated. Use lies and emotion to twist the population in to a hideous entity. This man appears a part of the forefront and many of the congregation are already trapped in the darkness from which many will never return.
