Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward after a bag containing class A drugs was recovered from the site of a road traffic collision near Dorchester.

Dorset Police received a report at 1.18pm on Wednesday 15 February 2023 of a single vehicle collision involving a green Ford Fiesta, which was blocking a lane of traffic at the Stinsford Roundabout on the A35.

Officers attended and found that the occupants of the vehicle had left the scene.

Nearby they located a large bag containing a significant amount of a white powder, which has been tested and confirmed to be cocaine.

Police Constable Richard Symonds, of Dorset Police, said: “Enquiries to identify the occupants of the vehicle remain ongoing and I am keen to hear from members of the public who might be able to assist our enquiries.

“In particular, I would urge any motorists who were travelling in the area around the time of the incident who have dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please review their footage for anything of relevance.”
