Whether assessing if our ‘weird’ weather is linked to it, debating if the construction of turbines on or off-shore are needed because of it or assessing how much of it should be taught in schools; climate change is never far from our news headlines. Yet many of us still take little time to understand the background, the potential impact on our daily lives or our own involvement with our planet’s eco-system. The Climate Reality Project seeks to address this and can now offer Dorset community groups and business organisations the opportunity to hear the very latest thinking in this global challenge. Mark Chivers, based in Broadstone, has recently been trained as a ‘Climate Leader’ at a gathering of representatives from over 90 countries where, former U.S. Vice President, Al Gore led a group of scientists and environmentalists in outlining the latest scientific findings and exploring what the models, that have been assessing climate change for some decades, are now telling us.

No charges are made for presentations and interested groups can request a session via the Climate Reality website at https://presenters.climaterealityproject.org/presentation_request or for further details email [email protected]
