On a cold winter’s night, there’s nothing like a good belly laugh and January 2015 sees the launch of the Electric Palace’s new Comedy Network.

The first event, on Friday 9 January, features Jarlath Regan, Adam Hess and Mark Smith.

Jarlath Regan

Award winning comedian and writer for Russell Howard’s Good News and the hit Irish panel show, The Panel, Jarlath Regan has gained a reputation with the industry and audiences for his uplifting, inventive and relentlessly funny stand-up, enjoying sell-out runs at the Fringe since 2007. A finalist in both the BBC and Channel 4 New Comedy Awards, Jarlath’s first published book How To Break Bad News was an instant best-seller. It gained many celebrity fans including Ardal O’Hanlon who called it “Original, funny and deliciously wrong!” Jarlath’s second book Putting A Ring On It – What Not To Do When Attempting To Get Married became a cult hit in his homeland.

Adam has also become widely known for his unique brand of comedy on Twitter and in the last two years has accrued tens of thousands of followers from the jokes he posts there alone. The BBC even filmed a selection of his tweets as sketches starring him as one of their ‘Feed My Funny’ videos.

Since reaching the final of ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ in 2009, Mark has gigged all over the UK, is a regular MC and has broken into television to present for MTV2 and to write and perform for ‘Dick and Dom’s Funny Business’ on BBC Two.
