Lloyds Bank is launching a new community banking service in Gillingham, offering vital banking support to the community operating from Gillingham Library.
The banking session will start on 19 January and will run on alternate Mondays between 10am and 3:30pm.
A community banker will be available at the library to assist personal and business customers with essential banking services following the closure of the bank’s premises in Gillingham High Street.
This new initiative ensures continued access to banking services for the community, especially for those who may need help transitioning to digital banking or understanding their options.

Cllr Ryan Hope, Dorset Council’s Cabinet Member for Customer, Culture and Community Engagement, said: “I was saddened to learn of the closure of Lloyds Bank in Gillingham, but this new presence in the library is a positive step forward.
