Coroner needs public support following death of man from Sturminster Newton

The Coroner for Dorset is seeking the assistance of the public to find the next of kin of a man who died in Dorchester.

Donald New, who was 70 years old and lived in Elm Close, Sturminster Newton, died at Dorset County Hospital on Monday 1 May 2023.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and no police investigation is needed into his death.

Coroner’s Officer Pip Morgan said: “We are not treating the death as suspicious, however we have not been able to locate any next of kin.

“If any member of the public has any knowledge of his family members, please contact us as soon as possible on 01202 118939.”
