Coroner Requires Public Assistance Following Death of Man Near Yeovil

Next of kin appeal – Alan Smith

The Coroner for Dorset is seeking the assistance of the public to find the next of kin of a man who lived near Yeovil.

Alan Smith was 76 years old and died at his home address in Yeovil Road in Halstock on Thursday 26 March 2026.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and no police investigation is needed into his death.

Coroner’s Officer Kerri Batty said: “We are not treating the death as suspicious; however, we have not been able to locate his next of kin.

“If any member of the public has any knowledge of his family members, please contact us as soon as possible on 01202 123900.”
