Coroner Seeks Public Assistance Following the Death of a Man in Wimborne

The Coroner for Dorset is seeking the assistance of the public to find the next of kin of a man who lived in Wimborne.

Anthony Griffin, who was 79 years old, died at his home address in East Borough on Thursday, 4 December 2025.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and no police investigation is needed into his death.

Coroner’s Officer Kerri Batty said: “We are not treating the death as suspicious, however we have not been able to locate Anthony’s next of kin.

“If any member of the public has any knowledge of his family members, please contact us as soon as possible on 01202 123900.”
