Prime Minister
It seems, lately, that the list of links of people criticising and even ridiculing you, your out of date and out of touch Party and your government grows longer each time I set fingers to keyboard. I don’t have to hunt for them any more – they are ready-placed in my email inbox and my daily news feed and, to be frank, these days I am rather more cherry-picking than hunting because the torrent of criticism is getting to be of Herculean proportions. All of the lies you and your Ministers have told, all of the misdirection they have provided to the press, all of the sheer ineptitude that your government has displayed since 2010; all are now coming back to smack you in the back of the head and ask “Remember us?” The reason for this is plain to see – lack of Departmental co-ordination and a strong hand at the tiller. If you’re going to lie to people, you needed to make sure you were all singing from the same ideological hymn sheet, and – as you were warned long ago by my friend and co-writer, Keith Lindsay-Cameron – you haven’t been doing so. As has always been the case with people of self-centred nature, every Tory government we have ever had has always been pulled into shreds by peoplewithin it, who have been working solely for the advancement of their own agendas and selfish targtets. Yours has been no exception.
We have doctors who work for what your money-grubbing policies have left of the NHS. These professionals have been trained over any number of years to assess patients’ physical conditions and abilities, but because they wouldn’t have been able to support – in a professional context – your government’s desire to strip people of support income for which many had paid taxes over the course of previous decades, your W&P Secretary decided to continue to use the Work Capability Assessment that was alreeady known to be fatally flawed in order to do it. So, now, we have a situation wherein people with often severe medical handicaps are not assessed by qualified GP’s at all, but whose claims are adjudicated by some anonymous spotty youth in a DWP office who wouldn’t know how to take the backing paper off an Elastoplast, never mind recognise the symptoms and severely debilitating effects of – say – Crohn’s Disease. And so we end up with a person being assessed as having exacerbated their own condition (see Link #2) when that would – as any properly qualified medical expert would tell you – is a physical impossibility in the case that has been illustrated.
It is this kind of utter incompetence that led to a 53 year old woman, Stephanie Bottrill, being driven to take her own life after being made liable for a pernicious and completely unfair tax that it now turns out she was not actually required to pay! That is the clearest case that I have seen yet, of corporate manslaughter by George Ian Duncan Smith and his minions due to gross negligence and gross incompetence. If the London Metropolitan Police Service does not take action against Smith and his staff on this evidence alone, never mind any other cases where there is a proven link between incompetence and a resulting untimely death, then the whole world will learn once and for all that that police service is 100% corrupt. Taxpayers will then be perfectly within their rights to withhold funding from that service until it has been fully disbanded, the corrupt personnel cleared out, and the service re-started with people of proven good character who are not beholden to promises of knighthoods, medals relating to a defunct, and now ridiculed and severely criticised Empire and so on.
There is more corporate manslaughter on its way, with the rise in sea levels being highlighted alongside the age of the Thames Barrier. That installation was never more than a sop to the public’s confidence anyway, was it? Anyone who has watched spilled water will know that it finds its own pathways and that, therefore, the TB was a complete white elephant. We will see this proven on a grand scale once the fracking industry really gets underway. In the event of a major storm surge, of the proportions likely in today’s changed climate, anyone who seriously believes that that rusting hunk of uselessness would save London seriously needs their head testing because any competent engineer – if freed to speak the truth – would tell them that the water will compltely by-pass it. It will be heading up the concreted-over tributaries of the main river; it will be pulsing its way up the drains and sewers; it will even be entering the Underground and washing its way through the city through those tunnels. For all the good that the TB will be when the big surge happens – as it surely will – the Environment Agency might as well try building a defence wall out of Lego. It would have just as much effect against the volume of water that will cripple London and cause damage running into the billions of pounds.
What is this government doing to prepare for this certain eventuality? Nothing. Nix. Nada. Sod-all. Your little island at Wasteminster is reasonably safe, so the prevailing attitude is SYJIA, right? Better to just get yourselves into the taxpayer-subsidised bars of the Commons at the end of the working day with the rest of the taxpayer-subsidised Fwaw-Fwaw Brigade and pretend that the problem that will bring misery and an as-yet unquantifiable death toll to those millions of taxpayers simply doesn’t exist. What else should we expect from a government that cut funding from flood defence programmes and whose affiliated Mayor of London has now sacked 550 of the firefighters who would be needed to save lives and try and control the water when the Great Flood does finally occur?
Incompetence, Mr Cameron. It has led to one absolutely certain case of corporate manslaughter by a Minister and his staff who are employed by your government. Now we just have to wait and learn when the next incident, probably claiming multiple victims, will occur.
Sincerely, Darren Lynch
