Crime Scene Established Following Stabbing in Christchurch

Detectives investigating an assault in Christchurch are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 10.37pm on Monday, 29 December 2025, that a man had sustained stab wounds in Dennistoun Avenue.

The victim – a man aged in his 40s – has been taken to hospital for treatment.

A scene was put in place and has now been removed following attendance by crime scene investigators and detectives.

Detective Inspector Chris Bradford, of BCP CID, said: “A full investigation is underway and fast-paced enquiries are ongoing to locate those involved.

“We are interested to hear from anyone who was in the area of Dennistoun Avenue near to Domino’s Pizza in Somerford Road at around 10pm on Monday, 29 December 2025 – did you see or hear anything suspicious?

“I would also like to speak to anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area and we would encourage anyone with information or concerns to please speak with an officer.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250190329. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
