Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an incident of criminal damage in Shaftesbury.

At around 11.45pm on Wednesday 23 June 2021 a group of people was outside an address in Ten Acres when one of them banged on the door before running off.

A short time later just after midnight on Thursday 24 June 2021 it is reported that someone kicked the front door of the property causing it to fall from its hinges, before again running off.

Nothing was stolen from inside the address.

Police Constable Nick May, of North Dorset police, said: “This must have been a very frightening incident for the residents of the property.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity around the relevant time to please get in contact.

“I would also urge residents in the area to please check their home CCTV systems for any relevant footage that may assist my enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55210100445. Alternatively, to stay 100 per cent anonymous, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or call freephone 0800 555 111.
