Officers investigating an alleged criminal damage and anti-social behaviour incident in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward – with one person arrested.
It is reported that at around 6.50pm on Friday 17 December 2021 three girls damaged a Christmas tree in Falkland Square and stole a metal pole from the display.
A further report was received at around 7.05pm that damage was caused to the window of Hollywood Fancy Dress & Party Store in the Dolphin Shopping Centre using a metal pole.
Officers attended and a 13-year-old girl from Poole was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. She has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police Constable Chris Lee, of Poole police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened or saw anyone acting in a reported anti-social manner to please come forward.
“I am particularly keen to hear from a woman who was wearing a brown jacket and was in the area at the time of the incident as she may have important information to assist my enquiries.
“Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team are working with partner agencies and will be carrying out patrols in the area as part of Operation Relentless, the Force’s campaign to target anyone involved in suspected anti-social behaviour.”
