David Attenborough comes to Studland via Weymouth

Following his experiences in Weymouth yesterday (17/11/22), David Attenborough kept his distance from the public today. Whilst the camera crew set up for his forthcoming documentary he sat quietly in a National Trust van.

His visit to Weymouth was also supposed to be under the radar as he filmed footage on the Jurassic coast but two events propelled it to national attention. First, someone shared photos of him on Facebook at the quay which lead to him being overwhelmed

and then whilst eating in an expensive fish restaurant he became the centre of attention for Animal Rebellion activist Emma Smart.

Hence the 96 year old naturalist sought out a much quieter experience for his second day of filming.

The weather although chilly, when the sun hid behind the clouds, was wonderfully warm when bright and beautiful. David began filming at Knoll beach, Studland, mid morning before moving further down in to Shell Bay.

Moving on down the beach past the ‘Naturist’ sign, keeping his clothes on, he continued filming.

And then we left him in peace to continue trying to educate as many as possible that we cannot carry on like before if we want to survive.
