DEAR IAIN DUNCAN SMITH

Dear Iain Duncan Smith,

I am writing to you on behalf of the Country, I feel deeply saddened and troubled that you got to keep your position in the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

I care about the people of Britain and the Welfare and interests of the people in this Country, as a human and a person you make me feel physically sick, you don’t give a damn about our people or even care about them, the amount of people who have been punished and suffered thanks to you and your party is shocking and sickening.

You have punished the ill, sick, disabled and most vulnerable people in our society, you have cut care and support for the people who need it, you have driven many people to suicide, I think you and your plans are disgusting, nobody should feel or be made to feel that way because of your cuts and Party the figures of suicides have risen.

I hope you are proud of yourself, it must feel good to have the power and the right to mess around and destroy people’s lives, getting a kick out of making people’s life a misery.

I saw how in Parliament during a debate over The Bedroom Tax how you sat back and laughed over it, very professional behaviour, laughing over ordinary people who up and down the Country have to struggle to make ends meet and then have to pay for an extra bedroom on top.

Is it funny the fact that a disabled person has to have their own room with equipment to help treat them and then be told they have to pay extra or find elsewhere to live?

Is it funny how a young child with a severe condition or a person with life long illness has to worry about the fact they may have to move to smaller property to escape the dreaded Tax.

It’s ok for you though as I bet you have more than one room in your posh house paid for by the Taxpayers, do you pay Bedroom Tax for all of your extra rooms that you don’t need? No I don’t think so.

You are responsible for the deaths of many people and it will only get worse with you in charge.

You also punish people on Benefits, yes there are people who defraud the system and abuse it but not everyone, majority are people who need support I.e become unemployed through redundancy, unfair dismissal, disabled or ill through no fault of own etc. Some people need support to get by, but yet you are punishing the most vulnerable people and the people who actually do want to work, the Universal Credit is a disaster to roll 6 benefits into one benefit, it takes 6 weeks for first payment which puts people behind on rent, council tax, bills, food etc which results in debt, risk of eviction and homelessness, it is wrong and should be scrapped, also so many problems with it like system going down, phone lines always down, computers crashing etc it is a waste of Money and more punishment for people who want to work. People risk being sanctioned left, right and centre for most smallest or pettiest thing, Jobcentre staff are rude and obnoxious the way they talk and treat people and try getting people to take out loan which again more debt and worries people Don’t deserve or need.

You said that you could survive on £53 benefits in a week, well I’d love to see you actually try and live like the ordinary person who goes to work, has a family to support and the cost of living going up but wages staying the same, let’s see you try and manage and see you struggle and suffer just as you have made everyone else suffer.

With you in power I fear for the worse for everyone, nobody is safe when it comes to you and your sick, twisted ideas and damaging cuts, there will be more pain, more misery, more suffering, more poverty, more use of food banks, more suicides, more lack of care and support for the most vulnerable, lack of care and respect for our armed forces, more cuts and sanctions.

You only care about the rich not the ordinary person trying to make ends meet or living in a struggle.

I hope your happy with yourself and enjoy punishing decent people who have Done nothing wrong what so ever.

Yours Sincerely

Chris Skerritt
