Officers are appealing for information as they investigate the theft of a vehicle in Dorchester.
It was reported that at around 12.50pm on Tuesday, 7 April 2026, a driver carrying out deliveries in a white Ford Transit van was in the area of Celtic Crescent when he was approached by a silver Saab and the driver asked him for directions.
The delivery driver continued on his way and when he stopped at a nearby property moments later and exited his vehicle, the van was subsequently stolen and driven off in the direction of Maiden Castle Road.
It was reported that the vehicle was then driven dangerously down Maiden Castle Road.
Police Constable Nathan Wright, of Dorchester Police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this theft and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured any relevant home CCTV, doorbell camera or dashcam footage.
“Finally, I am issuing an image of the stolen vehicle and would urge any members of the public who come across it to please make contact with us.”
