Following a hugely successful Dorset tour with A Love Like Salt in 2013, the acclaimed performers of The Devil’s Violin make a much anticipated return to the County through Artsreach with their brand new show; The Forbidden Door.
What would you sacrifice for the one you love? How far is too far?
Don’t open that door! As soon as the rule is laid down, we know it will be broken. Once the door is opened, then what? Anything from love, loss, drama, danger, horror, humour, twists and trials.
The Devil’s Violin has been breathing new life into the ancient art of storytelling since 2006 and for this tour, musicians Sarah Moody, Oliver-Wilson Dickson and Dylan Fowler are joined by storyteller and spoken word performer Dominic Kelly, who is a regular on the storytelling scene across Europe and curates Lancaster’s popular Lit Fest.
Prepare for an evocative and enchanting evening of rich and dynamic storytelling accompanied by visceral, melodic live music that will stay with you for some time.
