DJ PROPERTY has announced that planning permission has now been submitted for Phase 2 of the Link Park Business Park in Weymouth. Phase 1 was completed at the end of 2012 and within 8 months four national companies have taken units at the Park including Screwfix, Toolstation, Halfords Autocentres and Topps Tiles.  A fifth national company is planning to occupy the remaining 2 units within the next couple of months.

Mickey Jones, Chief Executive of DJ Property, the company developing Weymouth’s newest business park, said he was delighted to announce the second phase of the development

Mickey commented: ‘Phase 2 of Link Park will be constructed in a slightly different way from the first phase.  The second phase will consist of 7 units measuring between 1,500 sq ft and 2,500 sq ft and will be particularly attractive to local small to medium sized businesses looking to expand their business into new commercial space.  The units will be of market leading quality and are very visible from the busy Chickerell Link Road, just what occupiers are demanding”.

He added: Phase 1 has let very well and I am very proud of the companies who have chosen to come to Link Park as they can see that DJ Property is a trusted, professional developer of commercial property that builds long-term relationships. Phase 2 will build on these relationships with local businesses as we have always supported successful local businesses.  What’s good for South Dorset is good for us.  It is hoped that Phase 2 of Link Park will attract up to 100 jobs when fully let.”

Subject to successful planning application, building will commence at the end of 2013 and the units should be ready for occupation by Spring 2014. Link Park Phase 2 will consist of buildings withmodern high eaves which are finished with high quality brickwork, cladding and glazed elevations. The buildings in Phase 2 will look very similar to those in Phase 1, which have been so well received by the market.

Link Park’s direct frontage onto the Chickerell Link Road and proximity to Weymouth’s major roads makes it the ideal location for many businesses. Buildings at Link Park will be of the highest quality available in South Dorset and all units benefit from reduced cost solar PV generated electricity.
