Director of Bournemouth and Poole based Domestic Angels, Samantha Acton, was invited to be a guest speaker at the recent national Parliament Week annual conference which took place at the People’s History Museum in Manchester.

Samantha who has successfully organised and run Parliament Week events in Bournemouth for the last two years said, “It was a real honour to be invited to speak and represent Bournemouth at this prestigious event.  I was asked to talk about the significant successes that we have achieved so far on a local political platform in Bournemouth and to share our experience and knowledge with the other Parliament Week partners and potential partners at the conference.”

Samantha explained, “Domestic Angels is politically impartial making us free to form our approach towards delivering Parliament Week in the spirit of our company. We chose to extend our Parliament Week offering to the youth of our community, as whatever these young people choose to do in life, it will be affected by politics.”

Parliament Week is a program of events and activities that connect people across the UK with Parliament and democracy. Organizations across the UK run events and activities throughout Parliament Week which explore what parliamentary democracy means to them and their community. Parliament Week is coordinated by the House of Commons with support from the House of Lords.
