Dorchester Woman Arrested For GBH Following Serious Assault in Weymouth

Officers investigating a reported serious assault in Weymouth have made a further arrest.



It was reported that at 5.14pm on Sunday 27 July 2025 a serious assault occurred on Westham Bridge, in which the victim – a local man aged in his 30s – was repeatedly punched in the head and sustained a serious injury to his ear.

Officers attended and following enquiries, two men aged 21 and 23 – both from Weymouth – were arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and released on police bail.

Following further investigative work, a 19-year-old woman from Dorchester has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. She has been released on police bail as officers continue their investigation.
