Ninebarrow are a multi-award-winning folk duo hailing from Dorset who are impressing audiences across the country with their innovative and captivating take on the folk tradition. With their name inspired by the landscape around their home in the Purbecks, Jon Whitley and Jay LaBouchardiere combine breathtaking vocal harmonies and melodies to deliver original songs that are inspired and rooted in the landscape and history of the British Isles. As well as crafting unique and engaging original material, Ninebarrow also take a wide-range of traditional folk songs and rework them in their own, distinctive way.

Having been crowned winners of the Larmer Tree Breakthrough Music Award in 2013, the duo went on to win Fatea Magazine’s ‘Debut Album of the Year’ 2014, and were named as finalists in the prestigious UK Songwriting Competition of the same year. Ninebarrow have played at many of the great folk festivals and supported artists including Kate Rusby, Seth Lakeman and Fisherman’s Friends. Now this exciting young duo are set to tour in their home County through Artsreach; don’t miss the chance to see these rising stars live.
