The Dolmen (Golden Lion, St Edmund Street, WeymouthDT4 8AR): Mystical, piratical, Celtically-informed and internationally-acclaimed folk rock.

Amy Mayes Band (Kings Arms, Trinity Road, WeymouthDT4 8TJ): Funk, soul and Motown from Amy and her excellent band.

The Surfin’ Birds (Lazy Lizard, Esplanade, Weymouth DT4 8DG): The Bird is the word, and the words are punk-informed surf gems.

The Penny Red (Royal Portland Arms, Fortuneswell, Portland DT5 1LZ): The Penny Red are Jess Vincent (vocals, guitar, mandolin, flute, piano, harmonica), Ade Barnes (bass, vocals), Marcel Rose (guitar, mandolin, banjo) and Tim Watts (drums, percussion, vocals). Left, Right & Centre (Ilchester Arms, Market Street, Abbotsbury DT3 4JR): Andy, Steve and Tony conjure up a broad mix of music, re-working songs in their own unique style from artists such as Van Morrison, Supertramp, Ben Folds and Nat King Cole.
The Producers(The Barn at the Square and Compass, Windmill Hill, Nr Ilminster, Somerset TA19 9NX):Bournemouth’s own award-winning blues band arrive fresh from headlining the Trieux Tonic Blues Festival in Brittany. Arnie Cottrell (Ropemakers, West Street, Bridport DT6 3QP): Arnie Cottrell has been playing music for most of his life. He started out on the folk scene of the 60s and 70s where he formed an enduring but interrupted friendship with East end guitarist, singer and songwriter Richard Digance. He went on to play in various rhythm and blues, soul, reggae, psychedelic psycho outfits, Cajun, old timey and ceilidh outfits.
