Charity Urges Local Community to Talk Openly About Mental Health

Pioneering local mental health charity, Dorset Mind, today announce its continual support for Time to Talk Day that takes place nationwide on Thursday 7th February 2019.

Dorset Mind CEO, Marianne Storey, said, “Time to Talk Day is a pivotal moment in our calendar to specifically encourage more open conversations about mental health. We don’t need to formalise talking about our feelings. Being honest is what counts and it’s okay to say when we’re not okay.  It’s time we all break down the barriers and be brave about what goes on inside.  It takes courage but the benefits are limitless.”

Time to Talk Day is an idea from Time to Change – a social movement aimed to end mental health discrimination led by the Department of Health and Social Care, Comic Relief, National Lottery Fund, Rethink Mental Illness and Mind.
