NBOMe - Fatal fun

Parents are being warned of new drug danger after It has been reported that many teenage party goers were treated at Dorchester hospital over the weekend due to taking a relatively new but dangerous recreational drug known as NBOMe, 25i or Smiles. The drug has similar effects to LSD and comes in powder, liquid or on a paper tab. The drug, which has quickly become the party choice of many young people both in the UK and the USA, can cause serious side effects including; kidney and liver damage, psychosis and death.

All of the affected persons had attended a Halloween party on Friday 31st October evening in Bridport, which had allegedly been held without adult supervision in a local field. Although not all the persons taking the drug were in need of hospital treatment many were cared for at home by their parents suffering from vivid hallucinations, bouts of violence and extreme paranoia, which for some lasted up to 48 hours after taking the drug. More information on the NBOMe drug can be found on the ‘Talk to Frank’ website: https://www.talktofrank.com/drug/n-bomb and a list of deaths caused by the drug in the USA can be found here: https://www.erowid.org/chemicals/2ci_nbome/2ci_nbome_death.shtml
