The police have reported that drawing pins and other objects have been used to stop cyclists… using the Rodwell Trail.

‘We have received reports that drawing pins have been scattered along the Rodwell Trail between the railway bridge and the bridge by Asda. We have asked the Council to sweep the area, but please be careful if you are using the trail, especially with dogs or children or if you are cycling.
If anyone has any information surrounding this, please contact us on 101 quoting incident 12:446 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.’

This is a barbaric act by people who are not safe to be allowed out in public. They obviously have issues that require treatment and for the safety of the many should be distanced from the rest of us.

As many have pointed out on social media it is not just cyclists who feel the brunt of these acts but the disabled, pets, guide dogs, key workers… all of whom become victims of this hate and selfishness.

It must surely be up to all of the decent folk to help prevent this behaviour and others like it to continue.
