Drink Driving: “I wish my brother had listened to this, him and my cousin may still have been here”

My name is Lagan, although I go under the spoken word pseudonym of Legski. In October 2009 me and my best friend moved to Bournemouth to start a whole new adventure, but in November 2009, following a foolish mistake, he unfortunately lost his life in a drink driving accident. I wrote this spoken word piece

in the hope that it’ll make an impact on somebody else who thinks they are invincible, and hopefully change their fate before it’s to late (I didn’t mean for that to rhyme, it just happens sometimes). If you don’t value your life, then think of your mother, father, family, and friends who will have to live the rest of their lives without you. I’ll never forget you dude, even after death you inspire me to be a better person. Please don’t make the same mistake he did, it’s not worth it. Thanks very much.
