Officers investigating the theft of money in Bournemouth are issuing CCTV images of a woman they would like to speak to.

At around 2.20pm on Friday 7 May 2021 the victim – a woman aged in her 70s from Poole – was in Bournemouth town centre when she fell over and hurt her knee.

The victim saw a woman who she has met before, but does not know her name or contact details, and the woman offered to assist in getting the victim home.

The victim returned to her home address with the assistance of the woman and later realised that a quantity of money had been stolen.

Police Sergeant Anita Arliss, of Dorset Police, said: “As part of my enquiries I am issuing CCTV images of a woman I would like to speak to and I would urge anyone with information about her identity to please come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55210075112.
