Drop-in Bridport Health & Wellbeing Event

Residents of West Dorset are invited to attend the upcoming Drop-in Wellbeing Event at Bridport Youth & Community Centre on Gundry Lane, scheduled for Friday, June 14th, 2024, from 10am to 3pm.

This event, hosted by Help & Care in collaboration with Jurassic Coast Primary Care Network, aims to promote community health and wellness with a range of activities and services.

Attendees can look forward to a variety of supportive resources for health and wellbeing, including blood pressure checks, dementia awareness experiences, and resources for carers. In a relaxed atmosphere with refreshments available, community members can interact with friendly professionals eager to provide guidance and support.

The Pharmacy Team will be available to take blood pressure readings and introduce the innovative BP@Home phone app developed by Omron. This new tool is designed to aid in the management of hypertension, allowing patients to monitor their blood pressure conveniently from home and share results directly with their healthcare providers.

The event is open to all, with no need to book in advance. Special thanks to the Rotary Club of Bridport, Bridport Lions Club, and Age UK for their support in making this event possible.
